Nebraska closes all entrances to Colorado due to snow storm

December 14, 20220

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has closed all roads in Colorado due to a winter storm that started in the state.

Around 2:30 p.m. on December 13, the NDOT said “all roads from Nebraska to Colorado are closed” due to a blizzard that makes travel hazardous. In addition, westbound I-80 and Highway 30 remain closed at the North Platte.

The NDOT also reports that truck parking is completely unavailable west of Grand Island.

The NDOT is reminding truckers that truck parking is prohibited on the roadway, roadsides and interchanges. Parking in these areas will delay snow removal.

NDOT does not specify when the roads will be reopened.
