Diesel price in the United States showed a new record decline

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has published data on the reduction in the cost of diesel in the country.

On Dec. 12, the national average diesel price fell 21.3 cents to $4.754 a gallon.

The price of diesel has fallen 38.7 cents a gallon in the last two weeks alone and 58.7 cents since Oct. 24. Essential trucking fuel is now at its lowest price since Feb. 28, when it cost $4,104.

The average cost per gallon declined in all 10 regions in the weekly EIA survey. The largest drop was 25.6 cents in the Midwest and the smallest was 15.1 cents in New England.
