In Delaware increased patrols on certain highways

January 11, 20230

The Delaware State Police have been participating in a traffic enforcement campaign for two weeks.

The annual Operation Braking Point will run from January 9 to 23, 2023.

During the campaign, the military will increase patrols along I-95, I-495, and SR 1 at locations where 27 traffic accidents occurred last year.

The patrol will monitor the violations that most often lead to an accident: failure to use seat belts and failure to comply with established speed limits.

“We believe that Operation Braking Point will actively influence the way we drive, thereby reducing the number of accidents on our roads. This is a reminder to all drivers to keep their eyes on the road, slow down, buckle up, respect posted speed limits and obey all traffic laws,” – says the DSP message.
