Daimler recalls over 4,000 trucks due to hood issue
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) has recalled over 4,000 trucks due to a defect that could cause the hood detachment.
The recall affects select 2020-2023 47X and 49X Western Star tracks.
According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) documents, hood covers on recalled tracks can come off, which could make a dangerous situation on the road and increase the risk of an accident.
A total of 4,006 trucks were recalled.
DTNA says dealers will replace hood covers free of charge. Notification letters will be mailed on October 28, 2022.
