Utah to get new truck brake test area
The Utah Department of Transportation has announced a new brake test area on an unsafe stretch of road.
UDOT is currently working on installing a second brake test area on Highway 89 in Logan Canyon east of a truck ramp that was installed years ago.
The decision was made after eight trucks lost control on this site in five years, resulting in several accidents.
However, the State Trucking Association asks drivers to remain focused on this stretch of road even after installing additional safety features.
“Avoid distractions,” said Rick Clasby of the Association. “Driving a large truck is already difficult enough.”
