Two people were taken to hospital with multiple bee stings after a truck overturned while transporting bees.

The accident occurred on June 27 on Interstate 80 in Summit County, Utah.

A bee truck was traveling east on I-80 near mile marker 149 east of US 40 when it suddenly overturned, breaking about 200 hives.

The truck driver and another man were taken to a nearby hospital with bee stings and injuries. Officials blocked one lane on the east side so crews could clean up the mess and collect the bees.

The nearby Rail Trail is also closed through the canyon due to the influx of bees in the area. Details of the accident were not released.
