Truck driver named Highway Angel for saving puppy

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) recognized the Pennsylvania truck driver as a Road Angel for his selfless act.

Recently, at a New Jersey truck stop, Rich DiFronzo saw a puppy tied to a tree. The dog looked very bad.

“I fed him cheeseburgers and started asking people whose dog it was, but no one knew anything,” DiFronzo said.

Later it turned out that a guy was trying to sell the dog over the weekend and ended up leaving it right under the tree. At the time of DiFronzo’s arrival, 6 days had already passed, as the puppy was sitting there.

DiFronzo took the dog into his truck and fed him. As soon as the truck driver returned to Pennsylvania, he took the puppy to the vet. It was confirmed that the dog was malnourished and needed antibiotics. After that, the driver gave the animal in good hands.

“Another time I would do exactly the same,” said Difronzo. “I love animals and people don’t do that to animals.”
