New truck inspection stations appear in Iowa
The Iowa State Patrol’s Commercial Vehicle Division is opening two new commercial vehicle inspection stations on I-80.
On Jan. 1, Iowa State Troopers announced the opening of a new commercial vehicle inspection building at the Jasper County weigh station on I-80.
A “nearly identical” commercial vehicle inspection building will open in the near future at the Dallas weigh station on I-80, the Iowa State Patrol said.
“With this building, inspections can be carried out in a safe and climate-controlled environment. Public restrooms will also be available soon and will be available to drivers 24/7,” the Iowa Division of Commercial Vehicles said.
