New information about Operation Safe Driver Week for truck drivers

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has released new information about this year’s Operation Safe Driver Week.

This year, Operation Safe Driving Week will take place July 9-15 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

During the week, law enforcement agencies will identify cases of unsafe behavior of drivers, including drivers of commercial vehicles. Operation Safe Driving Week 2023 will have a special focus on speeding.

Officers will detect cases of improper lane changes, overtaking or turning; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; use of mobile devices; and driving with an unfastened seat belt. Violators will be stopped, warned or fined.

A year ago, US and Canadian officers stopped more than 35,000 commercial vehicles and cars during ” Operation Safe Driver Week” and issued 26,164 warnings and fines.
