I-70 closes for the weekend in Kansas City
Missouri officials ask drivers to plan routes ahead of time due to the massive weekend closure.
I-70 lane closures in both directions will last from Saturday, June 3 at 2:00 AM until Monday, June 5 at 5:00 AM.
I-70 eastbound will be closed between I-435 and Noland Road. The bypass follows I-435 southbound and I-470 eastbound.
I-70 westbound will be closed between I-470 and Blue Ridge Parkway. The bypass follows I-470 southbound and I-435 northbound.
Moving forward after the highway reopens, drivers should still expect lane closures, ramp closures, and construction work on the I-70 eastbound bridge through the end of 2023.
