Nebraska temporarily cancels HOS for fuel trucks

June 8, 20230

Gov. Jim Pillen passed a law allowing fuel truck drivers to extend their hours due to fuel shortages in Cornhusker State.

The Governor’s order is intended to help reduce delays at petroleum product terminals by facilitating the timely delivery of fuel to consumers, according to a press release.

It comes into force from the moment of signing and will be valid until September 4.

The order temporarily allows drivers to work for long periods of time transporting gasoline, gasoline blends, diesel, heating oil, ethanol, propane or biodiesel.
