Iowa Highway Patrol asks truck drivers to inspect their trucks before driving

Iowa police are asking the truck driving community to pay closer attention to their vehicles after an officer pulled over a truck that had several of its tires completely “destroyed.”

On Tuesday, January 16, the Iowa State Patrol’s Commercial Vehicle Unit posted on Facebook, criticizing a truck driver for driving a truck that was not in perfect condition on a snowy road.

“This is not the kind of truck we would like to see on snowy roads! Although it hasn’t fallen apart yet, in front of the two completely “destroyed” tires there is another tire that has also gone flat. Additionally, the lights on the trailer were not working. Monitor your equipment and look out for unusual noises or anything strange!” – the police wrote.

The post received hundreds of comments from Facebook users.
