A «cheese» accident occurred on April 15th along SR-14 near Bingen, Washington.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a truck driver was hauling cheese along the Columbia River Gorge when he was stung by a bee. As the result, the driver was distracted and turned off the side of the highway. He drove about 300 feet down a small embankment before rolling over.

“The guardrail was #shredded during the crash,” Trooper Will Finn reported. Some cheese did tumble down the embankment into nearby Rowland Lake.

The truck was the only vehicle involved in the incident, the driver was not injured. “The driver is a little #blue after being cited but thankfully doing very #gouda!” one police officer tweeted about the incident.

According to the authorities, the elimination of the consequences of the accident will take up to two days.
