The trucker saves owl after it was hit by semi-truck in Little Rock

The owl was found on a semi-truck by one of the drivers in Little Rock, Arkansas. Track driver called the police and a bird rescue operation soon began.

The officers did it as carefully as possible. Using blanket and box, they safely transported the injured bird to the Little Rock Zoo.

Soon after the rescue, the Little Rock Zoo transported the bird to the Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas, where it will stay to recover.

“About 95% of our intakes come from car strikes,” stated Rodney Paul with the Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas. “I assumed I’d be selecting up only a bundled tousled bunch of feathers-mangled feathers, I actually did.”

For the following six weeks the owl will be rehabilitated and then launched again into the wild.
