The app helps women drivers find a safe parking place

The app will help female truck drivers find a safe parking spot The American Trucking Associations’ Women in Motion, in partnership with Trucker Path, will help women truck drivers find safe places to stop and park.

Trucker Path is added a number of features to its mobile app to help women find parking spots based on seven criteria:

• Lighted parking

• Illuminated entrance to the restroom

• Illuminated seating areas

• Illuminated shower with 24-hour access.

• Illuminated laundry room with 24-hour access.

• 24/7 service

• Security on site

These amenities were selected based on feedback from female drivers. Properties with amenities will be marked with the Women in Motion logo on the Trucker Path app. Drivers will also be able to provide updates on the status of these amenities through the app.

Women in Motion is a program created by the American Trucking Associations to focus on the major issues women face on the road and in the industry.

“With our platform, women can quickly and easily find stops along their routes that offer amenities that meet their needs, while receiving real-time information about parking availability, fuel prices, discounts and more,” the press said. -release by Trucker Path Marketing Director Chris Oliver.

Brenda Neville, president and CEO of the Iowa Trucking Association, said she recently spoke with competitors and other female drivers at the Iowa Truck Driving Championship about what they need on the road.

“The number one issue was safety,” she told reporters during a recent ATA leadership conference. For example, women look for places that are well lit and secured.

The Trucker Path app has 20,000 parking spots that are geofenced, and app users receive a notification asking for information about that spot, ranging from how full the parking lot is to available amenities.
