Indiana’s Ohio River bridge closes for 9 days
Transportation officials plan to close the Sherman Minton Bridge connecting Indiana and Kentucky for nine days.
The eastbound I-64 lanes that connect New Albany, Indiana to Louisville, Kentucky will be closed from 9:00 p.m. Nov. 28 to 5 a.m. Dec. 7.
The double-decker Sherman Minton Bridge is undergoing a long-term renovation that will extend its lifespan by as much as 30 years, Indiana transportation officials said.
The proposed alternate route during the closure would run from I-265 in Indiana to I-65.
