Georgia truck drivers will be treated to free lunches

October 23, 20220

On Monday, October 24, truck drivers in Georgia will enjoy a free lunch as part of the Feed a Trucker initiative.

The campaign will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Enmarket in Savannah, GA on Pine Barren Road and Highway 80.

Truckers can relieve their meal by pulling into the truck-friendly Enmarket, where they will receive an $8 voucher that can be put towards anything in the store.

“Feed a Trucker” project was initiated by Veteran Carriers to pay tribute to truckers who provide people with the goods they need even in the midst of a pandemic.

“Truckers bring fuel to gas stations, food and medicine, and this work should be appreciated at a decent level.”

Veteran Carriers partners with Enmarket as a supplier of fresh and varied meals for truck drivers. On a monthly basis, they team up with a different group of volunteers to distribute food at a dedicated Enmarket.

Since the start of the initiative in 2021, truck drivers have received more than 250 free lunches.
