Florida Highway Patrol’s “ghost cars” are watching you!

The Florida Highway Patrol posted a message to drivers on Facebook, reminding them about their “ghost” cars.

On April 7, the Florida Highway Patrol Academy reached out to drivers on Facebook and warned them about their unique “ghost cruisers”.

“Peekaboo! You may not see us in our Ghost cars, but we see you! This unique design is translucent on the car but reflective when lights appear illuminating the design. If you pass one of these, you might not know it’s us until you see the blue lights!!”

Special squad cars have specific “disappearing” decals on the front, sides and back of the Dodge Charger. The reflective lettering is difficult to see. They can only be seen from at certain angle and light.

Some vehicles are equipped with bullet-resistant door panels, front and rear cameras and radar.

This is how the “ghosts” look in the daytime.
