Diesel fuel increased in price by 15 cents

Over the last two weeks, the cost of diesel in America has increased by an average of 15 cents.

The regions with the highest growth included the West Coast without California (18.9 cents), California (16.1 cents), the Rocky Mountains (16 cents) and the West Coast (15.2 cents).

A 10-cent increase was recorded in the Midwest, while the Lower Atlantic saw an increase of just under 10 cents. At $4.12 per gallon, the Gulf Coast region recorded the lowest average of any region this week.

The average US retail price per gallon of diesel fuel on September 6 was $4.45. For comparison, a week ago the average US retail price was $4.43 per gallon.

The highest recorded average retail price for diesel in the US was $5.816 per gallon on June 19, 2022. The national average for the past week was 59.2 cents lower than a year ago.
