FMCSA launched a new information campaign for truck drivers

The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Administration (FMCSA) is launching Commercial Vehicle Safety Week (CMV) to reduce speeding incidents.

The Our Roads, Our Safety program should promote safe driving for all road users. The initiative is part of the FMCSA’s first safety campaign, which began on May 7 and will run until May 13.

The campaign will raise awareness and share actionable information about improving road safety, directly supporting the Department’s National Roadway Safety Strategy (NRSS) goal of zero road fatalities.

“FMCSA is committed to safety. We have a responsibility to educate all road users on how to safely share the road with buses, 18-wheelers, and other Commercial Motor Vehicles,” said FMCSA Administrator Robin Hutcheson. “Together we can make a difference in reducing the number of crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks”.
