Tires that never go flat
Michelin is developing tires called Uptis (Unique Puncture-proof Tire System) – the future of car and truck.
This type of tire can not ever go flat or blow out because it does not require air to stay rigid. Instead, the Uptis features an internal system of flexible spokes that support the tire.
The Uptis is a working prototype that began testing on some Chevy Bolt models in Michigan years ago.
Those tires should be on the market by 2024.
