Tesla has clarified plans for the Semi Truck
In November 2017, when Elon Musk showed his Tesla Semi Truck, he promised that its small-scale production would start at the end of 2019.
Later the Tesla company officially pushed the start of production Tesla Semi Truck to 2020. As it turned out, there was not enough extra time, and the schedule had to be revised again.
In 2020 it was announced that customers will receive their electric trucks in 2021.
Meanwhile, companies PepsiCo, Walmart and others, who want to avoid diesel emissions, ordered the Tesla Semi.
The Tesla Semi Truck might be a potential opponent to traditional class 8 trucks and forthcoming electric offerings from other manufacturers like Freightliner and Volvo.
