On Tuesday, three semi trucks were involved in a massive pileup on the main street of Illinois.

According to Joliet police, the 51-year-old truck driver had run a red light while heading down a Chicago Street.

To avoid a collision with another vehicle stopped at the red light, he turned sharply to the left and struck another truck driven by a 58-year-old man from Tinley Park. Force of impact sent the second truck into a third one driven by a 40-year-old man.

The first truck then turned over and the driver was trapped. Emergency crew soon has got the truck driver out of the wrecked truck.

Both drivers of the first and second trucks received minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The third driver was not injured.

The investigation found that the 51-year-old driver did not have a valid commercial driver’s license and insurance. He was fined for a traffic violation and driving a vehicle without driving license and insurance.
