The Department of Transportation is restricting all commercial vehicles due to construction.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) announced that effective July 26, all “commercial and heavy trucks” will be banned from using the Missouri River Bridge on Highway 2 in Nebraska City.

The NDOT stops the truck traffic only “as a precautionary measure” due to the bridge reconstruction project. All other vehicles will be allowed to use the Missouri River Bridge.

As is known, between 1500 and 2000 semi trucks use the bridge each day.
