The man was killed while saving trucker in Ohio

On Wednesday, a man died while trying to help a truck driver in Ohio.

The accident occurred at about 11:20 a.m. on April 14th in Paulding County. Driver Timothy Ray Webber’s truck stuck the downed power lines that were hanging very low on C.R. 176.

54-year-old Vance O. Campbell was passing by the scene and decided to help the trucker. He climbed the truck and tried to remove the lines, when the second truck, driven by 40-year-old John Richard Reber, stuck the hanging lines. Campbell was electrocuted and died instantly.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says no charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
