Part of I-35 to be closed in Oklohama this weekend
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is planning major interstate closures starting this weekend.
From 7:00 pm on September 16 until 6:00 am on September 19, I-35 will be completely closed southbound between I-44 and I-40.
According to ODOT, the detour will be I-40 to northbound I-235/US-77 to eastbound I-44 to northbound I-35.
During the weekend, the detour will take I-44 westbound, I-235 southbound / US-77, and I-35 southbound. Another I-35 closure is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. on September 30 to 6:00 a.m. on October 3.
I-35 northbound will be completely closed between I-40 and I-44.
ODOT warns that the detour will be I-40 to northbound I-235/US-77 to eastbound I-44 to northbound I-35.
The authorities ask drivers to plan their route in advance.
