Named the most dangerous roads in USA
The trucking technology provider Lytx recently released a list of the unsafe areas, roads, and even times of day for truck drivers.
Among the most dangerous roads are:
- Allentown, Pa.: Interstate 78, East of W. Emaus Avenue
- Lambsburg, Va.: Interstate 77, near Old Pipers Gap Road
- Durham, N.C.: Interstate 85, near University Station Road
- Albuquerque, N.M.: Interstate 40, near Coyote Springs Road SE
- Lebanon, N.J.: Interstate 78, near Cokesbury Road
Lytx says that most of these unsafe roadways are near interchanges, construction zones, or on/off ramps.
The riskiest states for truck driving:
- Georgia
- California
- Washington
- Texas
- Oregon
Lytx also reports, that the most dangerous city for truck drivers in 2020 is Chicago. Moreover, the most collisions in 2020 are on Tuesday at 5 a.m. to noon.
