In NY suggested new way how to deal with trucker shortage
New York State plans to allow third parties to set driving exams for truckers.
Expected that this approval, as well as other important actions the state is taking, will affect the trucking industry’s main problem – the lack of bus and truck drivers.
Officials say these activities will be of great help to areas where there is a shortage of school bus drivers.

“Even though we are training these people, now we also need to make sure that they will come to the DMV and enroll,” said Belinda Govich, Shenendehowa Central School District.
The authorities believe that due to testing, which will be carried out by third parties, the time will be significantly reduced. This, in turn, will help not only the excellent work that the DMV examiners do, but also both parties.
