In Detroit I-94 closes due to bridge repair

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced that a section of I-94 in Detroit will be closed for 5 days starting Thursday.

Beginning at 1:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, all eastbound I-94 entrances will be closed from 30th Street (west of Warren Avenue) to Chrysler Drive, and all westbound I-94 entrances will be closed from Mt. Elliott Street to Trumbull Avenue.

I-94 will be closed in both directions between I-75 and I-96 for work on the new Second Avenue Bridge.

During the closure, traffic on I-94 eastbound will be redirected to I-96 eastbound and then to I-75 northbound back to I-94 eastbound. Traffic on I-94 westbound will be redirected to I-75 southbound, then I-96 westbound back to I-94 westbound.
