I-15 will be completely closed in Las Vegas this weekend
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is announcing the complete closure of I-15 to enable a bridge demolition project called “Dropicana”.
All lanes of I-15 will be closed in both directions between Flamingo Road and Russell Road in the downtown Las Vegas, Nevada from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27 to 5 a.m. on Monday, January 30.
The interstate closure is part of the I-15 Dropicana Design Build Project.
The project includes the removal of the northern half (westbound lane) of the Tropicana Ave. Bridge over I-15, as well as part of the overpass from I-15 southbound to eastbound Tropicana Ave.
Drivers should prepare for heavy traffic in the Las Vegas resort corridor and plan alternative detour routes.
