America’s famous trucking events are canceled in 2021

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) will be canceled. It was scheduled for September 16-18, 2021.

The event gets officially pushed back to March 24-26, 2022, and will take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

The Mid-America Trucking Show is the largest annual truck event.  It was first held in 1972 and is now the most famous event attracting over 80,000 visitors from all states and abroad.

Next year MATS will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The organizers hope that the celebration will be held: “…Over the past year trucking professionals have made numerous sacrifices, and worked relentlessly to overcome unprecedented challenges to keep our country moving forward. We are humbled by your dedication and honored to be a part of such a hard-working industry. We look forward to seeing everyone at #MATS50 and celebrating our great industry together!”

Other notable events such as the Great American Trucking Show (GATS), Partners in Business, Pride & Polish, Truck Driver Talent Search and the Small Fleet Champ Award will be virtual.
