‘5 truck-sized rocks’; Colorado Highway 119 reopened after rockslide

Highway 119 in Boulder Canyon, Сolorado is back open after Tuesday rockfall.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said the road was opened for the vehicles from Wednesday evening. The cleanup crews estimate they removed 300 and 500 cubic yards of rocks.

The road surface of this area will be repaired in the near future.

To recap, on April 27, there had been a rockfall on Highway 119 in Boulder Canyon, Colorado. A rockslide had completely blocked the roadway after heavy rain. The highway had been closed from 26 to 41 mile markers.

Fortunately, nobody was injured by the rockfall.
