Height is no barrier if you wanna be a trucker

March 16, 20230

The short in height trucker went viral on TikTok after sharing his daily truck ride experience.

Born in Kenya, Joachim Wangi has been a truck driver since November 2022 with citizenship and a CDL. Sitting on the truck, Vangi began to lead TikTok, where he talks about the problems and successes in the field of trucking.

“I created this account to show people what I do every day and how I manage to drive a truck as a short person,” Wangi said on his blog.

So far, his TikTok account has 77.8k followers and 408.5k likes, and one of his videos has over 5 million views.

Some subscribers are still stunned how Wangi copes with numerous tasks. But the answer is simple – if person has a desire, then there will be opportunities.

“A 4ft 2in height is not a barrier to being a trucker as long as candidates can pass the physical, written and road driving tests required to obtain a CDL. In addition, the Americans with Disabilities Act requires that reasonable arrangements be made for persons with disabilities to enable them to do their jobs.”

Joachim uses pedal extensions in his truck and… steps behind the cab that allow him to easily reach the connections between cab and trailer.”

Check out some of the videos of this hardworking guy.

If you also succeed in trucking – make the right choice when obtaining a CDL.
